Hello world! I'm back from Boy Scout camp, and (surprisingly) it was awesome. The merit badge work was annoying, but I got it done, and got all 4 badges that I took, which is cool. Now all I need is one more badge to fill my Eagle requirement! :-)

Highlights of Camp:

-Lighting shit on fire. I learned even more fun things to do with fire this year. One thing is that  insect repellant gel is flammable, and believe it ir not, you can light it while it's on your skin, and it doesn't hurt. This lead to the "flaming finger", where you light the tip of your middle finger on fire and flip someone the bird. Fun, no? What's also cool is if you spray bug spray on the underside of a board (or anything relatively flat, for that matter) and light it. It forms this wicked cool blue blob of fire that sort of undulates. It is soooo friggen cool. Then, there's the classics, like bug spray flamethrowers, and the match game. The match game (best game EVER!!! well, next to strip poker ;-)) is basically when you throw matches on the ground and start a small forest fire (or a large one, depending on how daring you are) and then stomp it out. It's dangerous, but that's what makes it fun!

-Being rude: It's nice to be able to swear constantly and belch as loud as you want for a week without having to worry about offending anyone.

-45s. It's almost as fun to play it as it is knowing that 99.9% of the US has no idea how to play it.

-"Band is like a gang for yuppies" - Corey

-Drinking juice that is referred to only by its color. "Can you pass the red? Get blue next time." Nicknaming the blue "dex" (because of its striking resemblance to Windex) was also quite amusing.

-Talking to Mr. Terranova (one of the scouts' dads) about Bush. He was the first person I've ever heard make legitimate and convincing points about why Bush should be re-elected. He's a cool guy, even though his son is wicked weird.

-Watching Vince crack up every time I said "friggin". He's homeschooled, and his mom is crazy, so I don't blame him for being a little (ok, more than a little) messed up.

-Slepping outside Wednesday night: I took Wildernes Suvival merit badge, which requires you to build a shelter (without rope or anything) and spend the night in it. I built this cool lean-to thing, and got all of 5 hours of sleep in it. That was actually pretty good, considering the counselor brought us out to our shelters at 11:30 and the only stuff we had to sleep in was our clothes and a space blanket. Random note: space blankets don't keep you that warm. maybe it's because they reflect heat, and I had so many clothes on that I wasn't losing that much heat, but it really didn't help that much.

Sooo, yea. I have this week off, so I'm gonna (hopefully) finish my AP chem for the summer, and get a lot of other stuff done.

Roman's quote:
"I walked in on this girl making out in three different rooms with three different guys. When I did, I was just like, 'You guys having fun?' and they were like, 'Yup!'" - this happened at the voice camp he went to last week
